The IDEAS Team invites the UMass Amherst community to join an interactive Teach-Tech-Talks session with Jennie Donohue, senior lecturer in the Department of Journalism and director of the public relations concentration in the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences, on Wednesday, April 10, from noon-1 p.m. in Bartlett Hall 314 and online via Zoom.

Donahue’s talk, “Making Mindful Classroom Tech Choices,” will explore applying principles of mindfulness to the classroom experience and creating space for students to become more present, as well as opportunities to help them reset and reconnect with each other and the course content.

Teach-Tech-Talks were created in partnership with the IDEAS Team and faculty members across disciplines to create a community of practice for UMass Amherst instructors to share insights, strategies and experiences with leveraging technology in the classroom with presentations open to all members of the campus community.

Each monthly meeting features a main presentation, followed by a Q&A and group discussion.

For more information about Teach-Tech-Talks and to register for the April 10 session, visit the IDEAS website and the Making Mindful Classroom-tech Choices registration form.
