The Institute of Applied Life Sciences  (IALS) in the Life Sciences Laboratory will hold a “Core Facilities Showcase” on Tuesday, Oct. 15 to spread awareness of its 31 core facilities on campus, in the Five College community and among local and regional precision manufacturing firms and businesses. The events, running from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., are a “drop in/drop out when you can” occasion that will include a poster session featuring core summer internship projects, a “Taco Tuesday” lunch and networking reception to end the day from 3 to 4 p.m.

Organizers say companies interested in human health monitoring capabilities, cellular and molecular analyses and other technical needs will have opportunities for one-on-one conversation with core facility directors including Andrew Vinard, director of core facilities, and Hannah Choi of the Core Internship Program. Registration is at bitly.com/TaCoreTuesday.
