

Hotel UMass to Host ’80s-style New Year’s Eve Extravaganza

Hotel UMass invites Pioneer Valley residents to welcome 2024 with style, excitement and endless entertainment at an ’80s-style New Year’s Eve Extravaganza on the campus of the University of Massachusetts Amherst. The glamorous celebration, held in the Student Union Ballroom and hosted by WWLP-TV 22 News’ Brian Lapis, promises an unforgettable night filled with live music, dancing, delectable cuisine and a spectacular countdown to midnight.
Starting with a pre-cocktail hour at 7 p.m., guests will arrive to live entertainment by the local band Diamondz and be treated to a full buffet dinner served by award-winning UMass Catering, followed by dancing and a champagne midnight toast. A premium bar and photo booth will be on-site, door prizes will be awarded and a costume contest will be held.
Guests can expect to leave the party with an ’80s-themed gift bag, specially created for this event, and have the option to stay the night on-campus at Hotel UMass, Amherst’s best-rated hotel.
Tickets are $125 per person and $200 per couple if purchased by Dec. 15, after which they will increase to $150 per person and $250 per couple. Room reservations at Hotel UMass made by Dec. 15 are $129 per room, per night, and will be $139 per room, per night after Dec. 15.
