Music faculty tenor William Hite and pianist Gilles Vonsattel will perform “Winterreise” Op. 89, D. 911, one of Franz Schubert’s best-known song cycles, on Thursday, Nov. 8 at 7:30 p.m. in Bezanson Recital Hall.

The work consists of 24 lieder based on a series of poems by Wilhelm Müller about a lovelorn traveler’s journey through a stark winter landscape.

The performance is free and open to the public.
