GIC Annual Health Insurance and Flexible Spending Enrollment Underway

The Group Insurance Commission's (GIC) annual enrollment for health insurance and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) began April 6 and ends May 4, 2022.

Plan and enrollment information is available on the MA GIC website and UMass Amherst Human Resources website.  Fallon Direct & Fallon Select health plans are unavailable starting July 1, 2022.  Fallon members will need to choose a new health plan. Those who do not select a new health plan by May 4, 2022 the GIC will enroll you in the UniCare Plus health plan effective July 1, 2022. The 2022-23 Benefits guide should be reviewed.

Employees who want to keep their current GIC health plan will remain in the same plan unless they change plans online in the MyGICLink portal by May 4, 2022.  Employees who choose to use an FSA account must enroll each year.
