Frank Sousa, CPA, Named Controller

Frank Sousa, a certified public accountant (CPA) and experienced auditor and senior audit manager, has been named controller. He began his new duties on Monday, March 23.

Sousa has more than eight years of experience in accounting and audit, most recently serving as a senior manager at KPMG in Hartford, Connecticut. Frank is a native of Western Massachusetts. 

Christine M. Wilda, associate chancellor for compliance, said, “We are excited to have Frank join us from KPMG.  His experience in leadership, audit, financial reporting, and strong internal control acumen will enable him to lead our controllers division in providing high quality services to the campus.”  Andrew P. Mangels, vice chancellor for administration and finance, said, “Frank’s background in public accounting provides him experience with a wide array of companies and industries and will enhance our efforts to benchmark best practices and customer service on campus.”

Sousa, a Western Massachusetts native, earned a bachelor’s degree from Elms College and a master’s degree from the University of Connecticut.
