Flags Lowered for Memorial Day, South Deerfield Soldier

Gov. Charlie Baker has ordered that on Monday, May 27 the United States flag and the Commonwealth flag at all state buildings be lowered to half-staff from sunrise until noon and be displayed at full staff from noon until sunset in honor of Memorial Day.

Additionally, on this same day, please be advised that Gov. Baker has ordered that the United States of America flag and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts flag be lowered to half-staff from sunrise until noon, in honor of Hospital Corpsman Meaghan Burns, US Navy, of South Deerfield who died on May 4, 2019 in Portsmouth, Virginia.

These recognitions will be observed concurrently.
