Flags Lowered in Honor of Weymouth Soldier

Gov. Charlie Baker has ordered that the United States of America flag and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts flag be lowered to half-staff from sunrise until sunset at all state buildings on Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2022, the day of interment, in honor of United States Army Corporal Jake Walter Bryan, of Weymouth, , who died on August 28, 2022.   Corporal Bryan, US Army, 1st Infantry Division, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team-4th Cavalry-5th Squadron Comanche Troop, Fort Riley Kansas, will be laid to rest at the Fairmount Cemetery, Weymouth, on this date.

This observance shall be observed concurrent with the ongoing half-staff display of the United States of America flag and Commonwealth of Massachusetts flag as a mark of respect for the memory of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II died on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2022.
