Flags Lowered to Honor Navy Petty Officer

Gov. Charlie Baker has ordered that the U.S. and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts flags be lowered to half-staff from sunrise until sunset at all state buildings on Friday, April 1, the day of interment, in honor of U.S. Navy Petty Officer Francis D. Joseph, formerly of Springfield, who died on March 8 in Panama City, Florida.

Petty Officer Joseph will be laid to rest at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Agawam, with U.S. Navy Honors being rendered on this date.
