Flags Lowered in Honor of Fallen Chicopee Soldier

Gov. Charlie Baker has ordered that the United States flag and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts flag be lowered to half-staff from sunrise until sunset at all state buildings on Tuesday, Sept. 3, the day of interment, in honor of Master Sgt. Luis S. DeLeon-Figueroa, of Chicopee, who was killed in a​ction in Faryab Province, Afghanistan on Aug. 21.  DeLeon-Figueroa​ will be laid to rest at the State Veterans Cemetery in Agawam.
