Flags Lowered for Fall River Native Killed in Afghanistan

Gov. Charlie Baker has ordered the United States and Commonwealth flags lowered to half-staff at all state buildings from sunrise until sunset on Friday, Jan. 11, the day of interment, in honor of Sgt. 1st Class Eric Emond, a native of Fall River, who was killed in Afghanistan on Nov. 27. Emond will be laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery.
