The Fine Arts Center will host Circa Contemporary Circus in the Concert Hall for an open rehearsal on Monday, Oct. 28 from 10:30 a.m. until noon. UMass students, faculty and staff are exclusively invited to the rehearsal. Admission is complimentary and tickets are not required.

Open rehearsals provide audiences with a unique look at the rehearsal process. Because these are working rehearsals, you may witness interactions between the artists throughout the performance as well as more in-depth rehearsal of movements. The artists ask that if you come to the open rehearsal you plan to stay for the full duration.

Under the direction of circus visionary Yaron Lifschitz, Circa features an ensemble of multi-skilled circus artists and is considered one of the world’s leading performance companies. Since 2004, from their base in Brisbane, Australia, they have toured the world – performing in 40 countries to over a million people. Their works have been greeted with standing ovations, rave reviews and sold-out houses across six continents.
