Equity and Inclusion Campus Conversations to Begin on the Topic of Resilience

The Office of Equity and Inclusion (OEI) will begin their year-long campus conversation speaker series with a talk by Jim Helling, LICSW, CMPC, titled “Building a Culture of Resilience for the UMass Community.” The talk will take place on Thursday, Sept. 23 at 3 p.m. via Zoom. Registration is required.

Helling’s talk will address the challenges of a new academic year at the heels of an especially difficult 18 months.

Helling will present an operational model of resilience that provides a road map for actively coping with stress, building on existing strengths to grow toward success and cultivating the vitalizing social connections that facilitate thriving.
