Doctoral Student Kathryn Accurso Receives National Award from Phi Kappa Phi

Kathryn Accurso, a doctoral student in the College of Education, has been named one of 100 national recipients of the “Love of Learning Award” by Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest, largest and most selective honor society for all academic disciplines.

Accurso is one of 100 recipients nationwide to receive the $500 award.

Love of Learning Awards are designed to help fund post-baccalaureate professional development for active Phi Kappa Phi members including graduate or professional studies, doctoral dissertations, continuing education, travel related to teaching and research, career development and more.

Accurso will use funds from the award toward completing her Ph.D. in teacher education and curriculum studies.
