Distinguished Faculty Lecture Series Begins March 27

The Distinguished Faculty Lecture Series will feature two speakers this year – Carol E. Heim, professor of economics and Shlomo Zilberstein, professor of information and computer science. 

Heim will give a talk, “Who Pays, Who Benefits, Who Decides? Property Developers and the Political Economy of Urban Growth,” on Wednesday, March 27. 

The second talk, “AI Will Change Everything, But Not So Fast,”by Zilberstein, will be on Thursday April 18. 

Both free, public lectures begin at 4 p.m. in the Great Hall, Old Chapel. 

Established in 1974, the annual Distinguished Faculty Lecture is dedicated to acknowledging the work of faculty members. Each honoree is presented with the Chancellor’s Medal at the conclusion of the lecture.
