CWC Invites All to Raise Awareness and Funds for Sexual Assault Support, Advocacy and Prevention
The Center for Women & Community (CWC) is inviting all to join the CWC Community Challenge during April, Sexual Assault Awareness month, to support survivors and a violence-free community.
CWC is a UMass Amherst campus-based center committed to providing free education, advocacy, leadership and support services for people of all genders across Hampshire County.
Participants in the CWC Challenge can choose the 2022 Hike the Notch Challenge or develop a more personalized challenge to complete individually or as a team. The goal is to raise awareness and/or funds for the free sexual assault support, advocacy and prevention services that CWC provides to residents of Hampshire County.
Challenges can range from the more traditional fundraiser, such as running, walking or biking a 10k, to more “out of the box” options like selling artwork, completing a pushup challenge or spring cleaning a neighbor’s yard.
Individuals and teams can sign up and complete their challenge any time before April 30. Throughout the month, CWC’s social media channels will highlight challenges, sponsors and services. Those who post and tag @CWCUMass about their challenges will be registered to win prizes such as a 2022 farm share from Mountainview Farm in Easthampton.
