Contemplative Pedagogy Working Group Continue Workshops

The UMass Amherst Contemplative Pedagogy Working Group (CPWG), comprised of instructors at all career stages across the disciplines, continues its monthly meetings to share resources, discuss contemplative pedagogy (CP) readings and compile best practices in CP course design and teaching. Approximately 70 people from across campus participate in the group per year, and over 140 are on the mailing list.

In Fall 2020, the remaining CPWG meetings will be held on the following dates:

  • Friday, Oct. 16, 10-11:30 a.m., “Equanimity as Grounding” (Facilitators: Katja Hahn D'Errico, CESL; Brian Baldi, CTL) 
  • Friday, Nov. 6, 10-11:30 a.m., “Racial Justice and Contemplative Practice” (Facilitator: Jennifer Cannon, College of Education)
  • Friday, Dec. 4, 10-11:30 a.m., “Here We Are” (Facilitators: Brian Baldi, CTL; Lena Fletcher, Environmental Conservation)
