Commencement Closure and Call for Volunteers

The campus will close regular business operations on Friday, May 13 for the entire day in order to reduce traffic and provide parking for graduating students and their guests.

This year, the graduate commencement ceremony will be held at McGuirk Alumni Stadium in the morning and the undergraduate commencement ceremony will be in the afternoon. Staff deemed essential personnel for Commencement activities or other campus operations will report to work to support these functions.

Commencement Ambassadors will be needed at the each of the ceremonies. A call for Commencement Ambassadors will be emailed in the coming days with more information and a link to sign up. Please note, staff members who volunteer to be Commencement Ambassadors will be entitled to a higher hourly rate or comp time for the time spent as an Ambassador, pursuant to the terms of their collective bargaining agreement.
