Chancellor Subbaswamy Names Search Committee for New Vice Chancellor for Advancement
Chancellor Kumble R. Subbaswamy has named a search advisory committee to recommend candidates for vice chancellor for advancement.
Mark Fuller, the previous vice chancellor for advancement is now serving as interim chancellor of UMass Dartmouth. Theresa Curry, the associate vice chancellor for advancement, was named interim vice chancellor following Fuller’s departure.
The committee will be co-chaired by Anne Massey, dean of the Isenberg School of Management, and John Kennedy, vice chancellor for university relations. Others named to the committee include:
- Philippe Baillargeon, chair, University Relations and Advancement Council
- Philip Bakerman, incoming president, UMass Alumni Association
- Diane Barstow, director of development, College of Natural Sciences
- David Biancamano, associate athletic director for development
- Clement Boaheng, Graduate Student Senate representative
- Rolanda Burney, chief of staff, Chancellor’s Office
- Melody Chartier, associate director for gift planning
- Denise Coll, UMass Amherst Foundation Board
- Carolyn Crowley, director of talent management, UMass Advancement
- Jamilla Deria, director, UMass Fine Arts Center
- Claudia Donald, executive director of digital strategy
- Jennifer Farner, director of stewardship and donor relations
- Ben Gallacher, UMass Amherst Foundation Board
- Jim Julian, executive vice president, UMass President’s Office
- Candra Pepper, undergraduate student, Student Alumni Association
- Sanjay Raman, dean, College of Engineering
Subbaswamy has charged the committee with presenting recommendations for finalists by June 30. The committee will be assisted by an executive search consultant retained by the Chancellor’s Office. The committee will screen applicants, conduct first-round interviews and then advance a small pool of finalists to the Chancellor for consideration.
