Challah for Hunger is a non-profit organization bringing people together to bake and sell challah with the purpose of raising money and awareness about the issue of food insecurity among college students. With 80 chapters located on college campuses across the world, this week the UMass chapter is having its first bake of the semester. The proceeds from this semester’s bakes are split and donated to Swipe Out Hunger and a local hunger relief organization of the chapter’s choice. In the past, proceeds have been donated to the Amherst Survival Center.
