Ceremonial Ribbon Cutting Held for Student Union on Founders Day

On Friday, April 29, a ribbon cutting ceremony and reception were held for the newly renovated Student Union as part of the annual Founders Day celebration.

Originally built in 1957, the refurbished Student Union enriches the student experience with a main street promenade, a black box theater, space for student groups and a new ballroom. A campus cookout was also held on the Goodell Lawn as part of Founders Day.

A program, featuring a number of speakers, including Chancellor Kumble Subbaswamy, was held inside the Student Union, followed by a ceremonial ribbon cutting and tours of the facility.
