Caryn Brause Receives ACSA Distinguished Professor Award

Caryn Brause, professor of architecture, has been awarded the Distinguished Professor Award from the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture. Brause was formally recognized at the ACSA Annual Meeting, held March 18-20 in Chicago, where she also presented her work.

The national honor recognizes architecture faculty who have had a significant and lasting impact on students through their teaching, mentorship and academic leadership. Brause’s work has been widely celebrated for its ability to foster creative inquiry and support student development. 

“Caryn has been a valued colleague at UMass and the Five Colleges for the past 2 decades,” says Stephen Schreiber, professor and chair of the Department of Architecture. “We are thrilled that she has been honored by our national organization.”
