Call for Proposals for OEI Campus Climate Improvement Grants
The Office of Equity and Inclusion (OEI) is accepting applications through Friday, April 10th, from undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and staff members for 2026-27 Campus Climate Improvement Grants.
Ranging from $250 to $2,500, the grants support projects that promote dialogue, connection across differences, and positive changes in the campus climate and culture. Applicants are encouraged to submit creative proposals that clearly reflect the challenges and needs for the community as assessed from the Campus Climate Survey. Special consideration will be given to projects that promote connection and belonging and encourage participation and coordination between two or more areas, schools, departments, organizations or groups.
“It takes a community effort to actively create and sustain a positive and productive campus climate and culture of connectedness and belonging for everyone,” says Arnold Lane, Jr., OEI director for the strategic advancement of equity and campus climate. “Your experiences, partnership and creative vision will help create this sustained communal change.”
Examples of previously funded projects include “Understanding Caste: How Caste-Based Discrimination Manifests in Academia,” “Wellness Paint & Sip,” “The Black Lavender Collective Healing Symposium” and “Fighting Period Poverty at the Science & Engineering Library.”
Complete application information, along with dates and times for grant information sessions, can be found on the OEI Campus Climate Improvements Grants webpage.
