This one-day, drop-in event will feature an exhibition of worker art, displays by immigrant workers, oral history projects from UMass frontline workers, food, demonstrations, live music and performance. As in year’s past, this event is an important opportunity to especially celebrate and recognize the inspirational and creative talents of UMass staff. This is fifth year organizing the Showcase Event and, after two years of virtual events, the participating artists are looking forward to sharing their new work in-person this year.

As the event draws closer, a more detailed schedule of the performances, demonstrations and readings will be shared. To learn more and for updates, visit umass.edu/worker-ed/BBShowcase2022 and follow the hashtag #UMassBuildingBridges.

In the meantime, we invite you to engage with a sampling of participants’ past creative work around campus. An installation of Our Immigrant Voices Photovoice projects is up in the Physical Plant through the month of March. Also, several “Random Acts of Kindness Through Art” stations can be found on campus. The stations are located in: Whitmore Administration Building, Hampshire DC, Goodell, Montague House, Life Sciences Laboratory, Machmer Hall, Student Union, 400 Venture Way and South College.
