Behavioral Medicine Laboratory Recruiting Dog-owning Families for the KID Study: Kids Interacting with Dogs
The Behavioral Medicine Lab in the Department of Kinesiology at UMass Amherst is recruiting families with at least one child between the ages of 3 to 10 years old for a study investigating how dog ownership impacts youth physical activity.
The requirements:
- Come to UMass for 1 study visit lasting 45 to 60 minutes
- Parents/guardians, children and dogs wear an activity monitor for 7 days
- During those 7 days, parents/guardians complete a brief daily survey asking about dog walking and play, and a one-time questionnaire packet
