Barrett Recognized by Massachusetts Art Education Association

Lora McNeece Barrett, senior lecturer in art education, has been chosen as the recipient of the Higher Education Art Educator of the Year 2020 by the Massachusetts Art Education Association (MAEA).

The award recognizes individuals who have made a significant contribution to the field of art education in the state.

Barrett has been teaching for 47 years, from kindergarten to graduate school. MAEA will be honoring award recipients at an awards ceremony Thursday, Nov. 9 at 5 p.m. at Montserrat College of Art in Beverly.
