
Attorney General Andrea Campbell Visits Campus to Discuss Consumer Protection
Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell and Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation Undersecretary Layla R. D’Emilia visited the UMass Amherst campus March 6 to co-host a public conversation for National Consumer Protection Week.
The hybrid event, “Savvy Consumer: Empowering Your Financial Future,” took place on the 10th floor of the Campus Center.
Chancellor Javier Reyes introduced Campbell and D’Emilia, who discussed consumer protection and financial tips and resources aimed at young adults, covering topics such as renters’ rights, buying a car, avoiding job scams, insurance and more.
