Architectural Magazine ‘The Plan’ Recognizes New North Chiller Plant
The new North Chiller Plant has been recognized by the Italian architectural publication “The Plan,” as a nominee for its “Production” category.
The production category honors manufacturing facilities and complexes.
“The Plan” website describes the plant:
“The new North Chiller Plant is a new campus landmark, combing the university’s commitment to sustainability with an emphasis on increased student engagement.”
The facility was designed by the firm Leers Weinzapfel Associates Architects, as part of a project led by Ted Mendoza and Ray Jackson of facilities and campus services.
Previously, the new North Chiller Plant was recognized by the Boston Society of Architects with a 2019 Honor Award for Design Excellence.
