Alumna and Suffolk County District Attorney Rachael Rollins is scheduled to speak at the Women for UMass Amherst (WFUM) Celebration at 5:30 p.m. on April 10 at the UMass Club in Boston.

In support of WFUM’s mission to educate, encourage and inspire women of the university, this event provides an opportunity to network and honor the 2018-19 UMass Amherst Award winners. All are welcome and $25 tickets include hors d'oeuvres, cocktails and a silent auction.

Rollins, who will present the keynote address, is the chief law enforcement officer for Boston, Chelsea, Revere and Winthrop, Massachusetts overseeing an office of 300 people and handling about 25,000 new cases each year. She took office on Jan. 2, 2019, as Suffolk County’s 16th district attorney, the first woman to be elected to that position in Suffolk County history and the first woman of color ever to serve as a Massachusetts district attorney.
