UMass Amherst has announced the schedule of events for the university’s commencement exercises celebrating the Class of 2025. Faculty members are encouraged to participate in all ceremonies and celebrations, and information on how to reserve faculty regalia, pick up and return locations, the doctoral hooding ceremony and master’s ceremony will be announced shortly.

During the spring semester, individual schools and colleges will provide instruction for their faculty members’ participation in the senior recognition ceremonies.

Faculty and staff are also encouraged to help celebrate the graduates by volunteering to be a Commencement Ambassador. Ambassadors play a key role in making commencement an amazing experience for our graduates and their guests by helping guests to their seats, answering questions, guiding graduates into the stadium and maintaining an enjoyable atmosphere for the family and friends who visit the campus over Commencement Weekend.

In appreciation for their service to the university, all ambassadors will receive a commencement ambassador polo shirt, a hat, and meals will be provided.
