For the 10th consecutive year, UMass Dining is hosting their annual 5K Dash & Dine on campus at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 6. Open to the campus community and the general public, the run/walk is held to raise funds for the Amherst Survival Center (ASC).

The Survival Center provides a welcoming community where families and individuals who are struggling to make ends meet can come for food, clothing, health care and relief from isolation. No one is turned away.

UMass Dining has raised over $39,000 for the Survival Center over the course of the past few years thanks to participants' help. The goal is to raise more than $7,000 this year.

The Dash and Dine is open for runners, walkers, teams, wheelchairs and strollers. Handicap access is available.

There will also be a “Fun Run” happening at 10:00 AM in Southwest Residential Area for children 8 years and younger.

Registration is available online or at any of the four dining commons/retail locations on the UMass Campus. Online registration ends at midnight on April 4. Walk-up registration is also available on April 6.

Admission is $5 UMass students, faculty and staff and $15 for the general public
