University of Massachusetts Outing Club Centennial Celebration

Please join us for the fall kickoff event of the centennial year of the University of Massachusetts Outing Club (UMOC). Celebrate the club’s unique and lasting impact to the UMass community while connecting with fellow alumni, students, and staff over a tasty southwestern dinner.  

Share your love of adventure with current students and alumni, hear from several keynote speakers, and enjoy a presentation of the club’s history with pictures from the 60s to now. Who knows, you may wind up planning your next trip. 

About UMOC: 
Since 1922, UMOC has engaged students in the outdoors and given respite to those weary of the rigors of academia. From the depths of curious caverns to the windy heights of lofty summits, from the vibrant forests to the driest sandiest deserts, UMOC has brought people together through wide ranging pursuits of fun and fellowship in the outdoors. The bonds forged on these trips span generations, and many alumni are still in contact with each other and new members of the club. UMOC has provided an unparalleled chance to experience the outdoors with weekly trips and affordable gear rentals. Members have used the leadership skills they acquired in the club to create lasting environmental change in their communities. 

Cost: $33 per person
Includes dinner.
