Public Event Open to All 

The Global Technology for Social Justice (GloTech) Lab at UMass Amherst hosts a public event motivated by a very important question: At a time when studying digital technologies cannot be limited to one country or even one region, how do we build sustainable support for research at the intersection of critical tech studies and global studies?

GloTech hosts program officers to engage this question. Christine Leuenberger (National Science Foundation, Social and Economic Sciences) and Molly Laas (Social Science Research Council, Media and Democracy) and Catalina Vallejo (SSRC, Just Tech) will present an overview of the tech studies funding landscape, discuss funding priorities and opportunities at their institutions, provide tips, and answer questions on application processes. There will be information on graduate student and early career fellowships as well. 

This event is hosted by Dr Seyram Avle, Associate Professor of Global Digital Media in the Department of Communication. She is Community Lead of GloTech Lab.
