Edible Book Festival

The UMass Amherst Libraries invite you to join us in celebrating this year's Edible Book Festival on April 1, 2022.  This festival has been celebrated internationally on or around April 1 since 2000 in commemoration of the birthday of gastronome and author Jean-Anthelme Brillat-Savarin. 

NEW SUBMISSION DATE: This year's Edible Book Festival will take place virtually. All members of the Five College community are invited to submit photos of their edible book-inspired creations by 5 p.m. on March 30, 2022 using the entry form below. Photos of each person's entry will be displayed in an online gallery.

Entry Rules

• Each entry should depict a literary work (fiction or nonfiction) or a literary character. Puns on titles are especially encouraged!
• Entries must be mostly edible (occasional non-edible props permitted).
• Entries must be submitted by March 30, 2022.

By submitting an entry, you agree to allow the UMass Amherst Libraries to use photographs of your entry on our website, newsletter, or other publicly accessible sites.
