Music and Dance Department
The Department of Music and Dance presents the 42nd Annual Jazz Showcase, featuring a mini-tribute to legendary saxophonist and composer, Wayne Shorter, plus the music of John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Selections will include Shorter's “One By One” and “Adam's Apple,” plus arrangements of classic Beatles tunes like Count Basie's version of “Can't Buy Me Love” and Earth Wind & Fire's take on “Got To Get You Into My Life.” Ensembles taking part in the concert include Jazz Ensemble I, Vocal Jazz, Chapel Jazz, Jazz Lab Ensemble, and Chamber Jazz Ensembles, plus the Faculty Jazz Quartet.
