Engineering Class of 2026 Student Speaker

Be the voice of your class!​​​

The student speaker serves as the voice of the graduating class, offering an inclusive message of inspiration and celebration during the Daniel J. Riccio Jr. College of Engineering Senior Recognition Ceremony.

Nomination and Eligibility

Nominations and overview must be submitted by March 30, 2026 to be considered.

Nominees must be in good academic standing and eligible to participate in the May 2026 undergraduate commencement ceremony.

This is a self-nomination form to be considered for the role of  Riccio College of Engineering Senior Recognition Ceremony student speaker. We require a thoughtful overview of your message and what you would cover (650 maximum words!)

Selection Process

  • The selection committee will be evaluating submissions based on clarity of purpose, impact, and overall message. 
  • The final speech will be an expanded and fine-tuned version of this submission. 
  • The selection committee will review all submissions and notify the selected speaker by mid-April. 
  • The selection committee is composed of a dean, staff, a faculty member and/or a student.
