Engineering Undergraduate Class of 2023 Student Speaker
Be the voice of your class!
Kitty Lovell has been selected as the Class of 2023 student speaker for this year’s Senior Recognition Ceremony, to be held on May 26 in the Mullins Center.
The student speaker serves as the voice of the graduating class, offering an inclusive message of inspiration and celebration during the College of Engineering Senior Recognition Ceremony.
Nomination and Eligibility
Nominations must be submitted by March 3, 2023 to be considered.
Faculty, staff and members of the Class of 2023 can nominate multiple students and self-nominations are encouraged. Nominating someone several times does not increase their chances of being selected as all nominated individuals will be invited to submit a draft speech.
Nominees must be in good academic standing and eligible to participate in the May 2023 undergraduate commencement ceremony.
Selection Process
After the nomination window is closed, nominees will be notified and asked to affirm their interest. At that time additional guidelines will be provided for a draft speech of 400-650 words.
The student speaker will be selected by a panel composed of a dean, staff, a faculty member and/or a student.
