MIE Undergraduate Independent Study Form

Students may complete only one Independent Study to satisfy a technical elective requirement. Formal written reports are due for all Independent Study courses in order to receive technical elective credit.

MIE students should complete this form in consultation with their independent study supervisor; have the form signed by their supervisor; and forward it to the Chief Undergraduate Advisor or Undergraduate Program Director before the start of the semester (late requests must be submitted with a course change form requesting a late add for the independent study). Once approved, the form will be forwarded to Kevin Romani (ELAB 208F) who will register you for a spring or fall independent study. Summer independent studies also require this form, but the student must register through UWW.
