What is tele-microscopy? It’s a service where you get great data without having to travel!
We have a video meeting with you/your team about your project and needs,
You send us your prepared slides via mail, overnight, or courier,
We do selected pilot imaging (if needed, another meeting with real-time acquisition),
We share pilot data with you for feedback,
If we all agree on data quality and target,
Then we image all your samples and provide you with the acquired data.
We can image in brightfield for traditional histology samples or fluorescence (epi or confocal) for up to 7 colors. We can image entire tissue sections or specific areas of interest to you and your team.

The Light Microscopy Facility at UMass Amherst exists to help you get better data, analysis, and results. We offer an open-access lab filled with just about every light microscopy imaging technology currently available. In addition, we provide you with as much expertise as you need to get your science moving in the right direction. And best of all, we provide all of this at a reasonable cost.
