The Spanish minor at UMass Amherst is a terrific way to formally improve your language skills. Language minors have opportunities to work abroad and skills in communicating across cultures are an asset to any career.

You’ll take a series of five upper-level courses to receive a minor in Spanish. These will include classes in advanced grammar and in writing and conversation. You’ll also take courses in literature and an elective of your choosing. Along the way, you’ll work with an advisor to make sure you’re on the right track.
