About

HFA Days, held March 27-28, invites the UMass community and beyond to experience different facets of teaching and learning, creative and scholarly work, and outreach by students, staff, and faculty.

Through HFA Days, community members can gain valuable insight into what research, teaching, learning, and collaboration looks like in the humanities and fine arts.

Organized by Associate Dean Pari Riahi and co-sponsored by the Office of the Dean of Undergraduate Education, it includes:

  • Open Classrooms, offered between Monday, March 24 and Thursday, April 3, welcome participants into HFA classrooms across campus.
  • On March 27 and March 28, the College will host a series of Research and Outreach Events including Faculty Lightning Talks, Public and Interdisciplinary Initiatives, Graduate and Undergraduate Students panels and presentations, and a student Art Sale, just to name a few.

HFA Days is also part of the Spring Arts Festival.
