The Portuguese minor at UMass Amherst is for students looking to supplement their major coursework with formal language study. Language minors have opportunities to use their advanced language skills to learn more about the world around them.

You’ll take a series of five courses to earn a minor in Portuguese. You'll start with two courses in intermediate Portuguese, and for the other three, you’ll work with an advisor to choose upper-level classes that fit your interests.

The minor is a wonderful way to become more well-rounded as you move on to graduate work or a career in any field.
