Because classical culture is the foundation of so much of Western education, it is a minor that complements most majors and career paths. Through the minor, you’ll become knowledgeable about the most interesting facets of life in the ancient Mediterranean region. You can choose to study Greek or Latin as part of the minor or you can concentrate on courses in translation. The program offers a small, supportive community as well as opportunities for study abroad in Greece, Italy, and other countries.

As a classics minor, you’ll take six courses, with a minimum of 18 credit hours. This will include one classics course at the 100 or 200 level, as well as five other undergraduate classics courses. You can choose any combination of courses listed as classics, Greek, and/or Latin.
