To close the first ever World Commons Week, the International Association for the Study of the Commons (IASC) and Charles Schweik, public policy and environmental conservation, have organized 24 consecutive live webinars by prominent commons scholars and practitioners, which will follow the UTC noon hour as it migrates around the globe on Friday, Oct. 12.

The slate of diverse global speakers represents a cross-section of IASC commons thematics, such as forestry, fisheries, water, urban and knowledge commons, as well as new, emerging areas and research methods.

Among the webinars will be “Connecting Nonprofit and Voluntary Research to the Commons,” co-presented by Brenda Bushouse, public policy and political science.

The full schedule of webinars, and information regarding how to participate, can be found at https://www.worldcommonsweek.org/webinars. All talks will be recorded and archived on the IASC website (https://www.iasc-commons.org/) after the event. World Commons Week is co-sponsored by UMass Amherst, the School of Public Policy and the School of Earth and Sustainability.
