Starting Spring 2026, The employee training for Summit Financials has moved to a self-paced online course. You can access the course by using the following link to enroll and signing in with your UMass credentials. The course takes approximately an hour to complete and is broken into 7 sections with short video walkthroughs.

Employee Inclusivity Trainings: UMass Amherst deeply values our responsibility to create and ensure a respectful, safe, and inclusive campus for all community members. New employees are required to attend trainings in Respectful Workplace, State Ethics/Conflict of Interest, Harassment Prevention and Title IX.
HIPAA training is required only for employees who work in specific areas involving protected health information.
The Department of Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) offers an in-depth collection of free online and in-person trainings. Any person who works in an area that has the potential to injure a person or can cause damage to property and/or the environment needs to receive training. For example, many of the trainings are required as part of lab, fire, and construction safety programs.
