University Without Walls (UWW) - Finish your degree, begin part-time, or build professional skills with UWW, which strives to provide revolutionary access to all learners. 

Employee Inclusivity Trainings:  UMass Amherst deeply values our responsibility to create and ensure a respectful, safe, and inclusive campus for all community members. New employees are required to attend trainings in Respectful Workplace, State Ethics/Conflict of Interest, Harassment Prevention and Title IX.

HIPAA training is required only for employees who work in specific areas involving protected health information.

The Department of Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) offers an in-depth collection of free online and in-person trainings. Any person who works in an area that has the potential to injure a person or can cause damage to property and/or the environment needs to receive training. For example, many of the trainings are required as part of lab, fire, and construction safety programs.    

• The Office of Faculty Development (OFD) supports all faculty at every career stage through workshops and resources for their successful onboarding, research/creative work, scholarly writing, mentoring networks, leadership skills, and career advancement.   

• The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) supports faculty across all career stages and disciplines with programs and resources focused on course design, classroom instruction, curriculum development, and other forms of instructional support for faculty, departments, and the campus as a whole. 

• UMass Amherst IT provides instructors with training, support, and resources to incorporate technological tools into their teaching and research. 

Benefited University of Massachusetts Amherst faculty, staff and PostDoctoral employees are eligible for a discount on tuition for courses taken at Massachusetts public institutions of higher education.

The Partnership for Worker Education provides high-quality worker education to a wide range of employees - service maintenance, food service, clerical and professional - through the development of stakeholder partnerships. Classes offered include career growth, English for the workplace, building community across differences, and much more.
