Whether you're enrolled in another institution and need transfer credit, want to try a class before you commit to applying to a program or just want to learn something new - we have what you need.
You don't need to apply for admission to UMass Amherst to take a class. You can enroll as a Non-Degree student and start taking classes for credit now.
Enrolling in classes is easy.
Choose which type of student you are below and follow the instructions.
FORMER UMASS DEGREE STUDENTS: If you are a former undergraduate student who never completed your degree and are interested in returning, please visit the Reactivation and Readmission page for instructions. Former graduate students, please contact the Graduate Student Service Center or call 413-545-0722.

How to Enroll as a Non-Degree Student
You wish to enroll in a credit-bearing class but have NOT applied for admission to a degree program at UMass Amherst or you wish to take a credit-bearing class in a term prior to your official admit term into a degree program (Graduate or Undergraduate) at UMass Amherst.

How to Enroll as a Non-Credit Student
You wish to enroll in a class that does not offer academic credit (non-credit).
NOTE: This includes Winter School for Turf Managers and MTEL.
