Megan Patton-Lopez, a senior lecturer in nutrition, is among the UMass Amherst faculty selected by the Center for Teaching & Learning (CTL) to the 2025-26 cohort of Teaching for Inclusiveness, Diversity, and Equity (TIDE) Ambassadors. The TIDE program empowers 10 outstanding faculty members to transform student learning and success across cultural, social and learning differences through strength-based, inclusive teaching approaches that honor diversity.

Selected from a competitive applicant pool, the 2025-26 cohort of faculty members represent diverse disciplines united by their commitment to advancing campus equity and inclusion. As TIDE Ambassadors, they extend the impact of their fellowship by sharing innovative practices within their academic units and supporting the CTL’s broader diversity initiatives.

During their fellowship year, the program participants will enhance their inclusive and equitable teaching strategies, reimagine course designs and forge meaningful collaborations across disciplinary boundaries.

More information about the TIDE Ambassador program can be found on the CTL website.
