Black Pregnant Women Sought for Research Study

A team of collaborators from the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, the Department of Nutrition, and the Elaine Marieb College of Nursing is recruiting Black pregnant women for a study investigating their experience traveling to prenatal appointments.
Eligible women for the Mamabus Project study must identify as Black/African American, be 18 years or older and 20-36 weeks pregnant, reside in Western Massachusetts, have established prenatal care and do not have a high-risk pregnancy diagnosis.
Volunteers will be required to participate in two interviews, each lasting approximately 30 minutes, and have the research team follow them to – but not attend – their prenatal appointment.
