Black Pregnant Women Sought for Research Study

February 27, 2024 Research

Content

A team of collaborators from the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, the Department of Nutrition, and the Elaine Marieb College of Nursing is recruiting Black pregnant women for a study investigating their experience traveling to prenatal appointments.

Eligible women for the Mamabus Project study must identify as Black/African American, be 18 years or older and 20-36 weeks pregnant, reside in Western Massachusetts, have established prenatal care and do not have a high-risk pregnancy diagnosis.

Volunteers will be required to participate in two interviews, each lasting approximately 30 minutes, and have the research team follow them to – but not attend – their prenatal appointment.

To learn more about the research or to apply for the study, please visit the Mamabus Project website or contact the research team at mamabusproject [at] gmail [dot] com (mamabusproject[at]gmail[dot]com).
