Non-Degree Undergraduate Course Enrollment
Learn how to enroll in SPHHS UWW online undergraduate courses.
Technical Requirements
All students must have basic computer skills to be successful in online learning. Beginning skills in Internet navigation and Microsoft Office products is recommended. Technical requirements for taking an online course are as follows:
- High-speed Internet connection
- Recent versions of Microsoft Office/365 including Power Point, Word, and Excel
- Mac- or Windows-based computer with updated operating systems
- Classes will use Canvas LMS or Blackboard LMS. NOTE: Blackboard does not work on iPhone or iPad or tablets
- A current browser
- Chrome 87+
- Edge 87+
- Firefox 78+
- Safari 13+
Cost
The cost per credit for each of these courses is $525. Students must also pay a $75 registration fee.
Course Availability
Classes are offered in kinesiology, public health, and nutrition.
Winter 2023 Courses:
- Enrollment begins October 11, 2023
- Winter Session dates: December 18, 2023 – January 31, 2024

Enroll in SPHHS courses
Current students should contact their academic advisor for permission, if they need credit overrides, assistance with course planning, and to find out if the Univ+ class will meet their general education or major requirements.
How to enroll:
New or returning students:
- A new student is one who has applied for admission to a program but wishes to take classes before their official admit term, or a non-degree student who wishes to take a class.
- A returning (or inactive) student has an academic record at UMass Amherst, but has not taken classes recently.

Access your courses:
UWW (CPE) courses run on the Blackboard or Canvas Learning Management System. You can access your Univ+ classes beginning one week prior to the official semester start date. You will log in to the Learning Management System using your UMass credentials.
