This graduate certificate aims to provide both speech-language pathology (SLP) and audiology (AuD) students with advanced training and practice in working with individuals from culturally, linguistically, and otherwise diverse backgrounds.

Students with proficiency in a language other than English may choose to focus on developing the knowledge and skills to provide services in that language. However, proficiency in a second language is not required to participate in the certificate.

The goal of the certificate is to prepare clinicians from all backgrounds to provide culturally responsive services to clients whose identity may differ from their own across a variety of dimensions. Participation in the certificate does not add to the cost or length of your program.
